# Owner's Manual

Your Scrip is an advanced device that can contain other inscriptions — from text, stories, lore, ideas, to art, video, audio and more.

*Here's how to inscribe onto your Scrip*:

Make this screen bigger by opening your Scrip in full screen mode by going to ordinals.com/content/yourInscriptionID

Two Steps = (1) Write something + (2) Inscribe a Child to your Scrip

1. **WRITE SOMETHING BELOW**! — a note, an idea, an observation, a story
 • Delete all of the words currently in here and create your own

2. **INSCRIBE A CHILD to your Scrip**
 • Copy the markdown on left side, or download it as a file from the navbar
 • Paste the text or upload the file on [Chisel](https://chisel.xyz)
 • Inscribe it as a child to your Scrip using the Parent/Child setting
 • Ignore the "Bring Your Own" setting

3. Note re: inscribing children:
 • You can fund step 1 with any wallet. 
 • You can send your Scrip in step 2 using any wallet. It will come back to you in the same transaction as your child gets inscribed.
 • Ignore those Xverse and Unisat buttons.
 • Check [mempool.space](https://mempool.space) to see the current and recent fee range
 • Advanced users can use your own node for this, of course

Done!

Once the block confirms, come back to your Scrip and click the Field Notes button to see it render.

Scrips are what we make of them — thou mayest make with us.

Note: to embed an image inside your file, you must adhere to the format:
